Ok. Storytime.

''Canadian History Made Easy was originally built to help my private Secondary IV history students in Québec better understand complex Canadian and Québec history concepts.

Over time, those resources started circulating beyond my tutoring sessions — students shared them, parents began using them at home, and more learners outside my classroom started benefiting from the explanations.

Today, over 600 students have used the platform to review, simplify, and better grasp key historical topics — through clear explanations, classroom-tested resources, and short, engaging overview videos.

That’s when I realized: if this is helping students beyond my own classroom, maybe other teachers, students, and families across Canada could benefit from a tool like this too.''

- Mathieu Limoges, High School History Teacher in Montréal.

Great Teachers. Broken System.

Every day, teachers do their best with limited time, limited resources, and growing expectations.

They see it — when a student almost understands, but needs the concept explained just a little differently.

Too often, there’s no time to try again. Not because teachers don’t care, but because the system leaves little room for creativity or alternative explanations.

Across Canada, creative teachers are finding better ways to explain history.
Those explanations shouldn’t stay trapped in one classroom.

Canadian History Made Easy

HOW IT WORKS.

WHY I BUILT THIS.

PXL_20260115_181522374.MP.jpg

I teach Secondary IV history in Montréal. Every year, I meet students who aren’t lazy, aren’t disengaged, and aren’t incapable — they just need history explained differently.

I’ve seen students light up when a concept is broken down clearly — sometimes through a diagram, sometimes through a story, and sometimes through a short, funny, TikTok-style video that simplifies or gives an overview of a complex historical topic.

When those explanations click, confidence follows. When they don’t, students quietly fall further behind — even when they’re trying.

What struck me wasn’t the struggle itself, but how many good explanations never make it past one classroom.

I know teachers across Canada are doing incredible, creative work every day — diagrams, analogies, activities, and short-form explanations that actually help students understand.

Canadian History Made Easy was built to give those explanations a second life — so teachers can help more than just the students sitting in front of them.
